The idea to do a case mod in the style of Battlestar Galactica started as a suggestion from a fellow modder on Boxgods. We had originally intended it to be part of a group themed mod, but things happened and for whatever reason the other mods never materialised. By that time I was too far into the project (and enjoying myself too much) to scrap it, so I forged solely onwards.

Looking at the Stacker 830 case that I had won from Cooler Master’s case mod contest, I started noticing similarities in its design with the Galactica ship, mainly the triangular inset on the top panel and the ship’s entrance to the landing bay. Messing around in Sketchup, I took elements from a model of the Galactica (found in Sketchup’s model database), combined them with a Stacker, and came up with a satisfactory design...
